Attorney Craig Witherell has been with Dixon Hayes Witherell & Ward since 2011 and has been a partner since 2018. After growing up in Toledo and attending St. John’s Jesuit High School, Craig obtained both his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctorate from the Ohio State University, where he was Managing Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal.
Craig’s practice primarily focuses on the following areas:
- Comprehensive business and transactional law.
- All areas of real estate law.
- Family law, including divorce, dissolution, and custody matters.
- Estate planning.
- Civil litigation.
These broad practice areas often overlap, giving Craig the skill, knowledge, and experience necessary to take a comprehensive approach when representing his clients, instead of a more narrowly focused approach to a particular issue which can result in overlooking other beneficial options for clients.
Related to his practice, Craig has been active in the local legal community. He received the Toledo Bar Association’s Trustee’s Award in 2018, given each year to a member of the Association who exemplifies professionalism in the practice of law and has demonstrated a commitment to improving the legal profession. - Toledo Bar Association:
- President, 2025-2026
